Public relations culture is more than a satisfying and inspiring aesthetic. It also contributes positively to society and creates an environment that is inspiring and motivating to work in. After reading this, I hope you will agree with me about my passion for strategic public relations management. You might feel the need to share your reasons for liking the profession.
Contributing to society
Public relations requires that you identify the needs and wants of your organization. A PR professional informs the organization about stakeholder positions and assists the organization in evolving its operations to better align with stakeholders.
This paradigm makes organizations more socially integrated, which in theory means people are happier and more content. Public relations professionals are, in essence, the conscience of an organization.
Innovation and education
Public relations are constantly changing, just as business and the society, it serves. To help organizations create POD and thought leadership, new ideas are required. Public relations must be able to think ahead and deliver results in society and business.
This variety of occupations makes life more interesting.
Remuneration
Public relations seems to be one of the highest-earning professions in western society. From my perspective, this is not the 'bottom line'. The bottom line is complex and multi-layered. It doesn't hurt, but it isn't.
Leadership
Strategic public relations include challenging the status quo. This could be the status quo as defined by an organization or its stakeholders.
